February 13, 2018-

Good evening Locke families, this is Mr. Wolin, calling to remind our families that students who arrive on campus after our Tardy Bell (9:40 am) must go to the office to check-in. Students can not go directly to class if they arrive late. This is a safety concern, and we ask that you please adhere to the process.  Additionally, we have been receiving calls in regards to cars parking near the backgate and picking up students. Once again, the backgate is only to be used for walkers and bike riders. Any child being picked up by car, must do so in our front loop. The Sheriff Department is patrolling the back area and are considering closing the backgate completely, if families continue to not follow the procedures. Please help us in keeping the backgate open for our walkers, by not parking vehicles near the backgate in the neighborhood.

Thank you, and have a good evening.

October 19, 2017– Good evening Locke families, this is Mr. Wolin, calling with a few important pieces of information. First, we would like to remind everyone that this Friday, October 20th is the final day for the Free Lunches that were provided from the storm recovery. After Friday, your child will return to their normal Paid, Reduced, or Free status that they had previously.

Second, I need your help. We have received calls and concerns regarding car loop safety. We ask that everyone follow the rules of the school, as well as the law when it comes to driving and pickup. All cars, golf-carts, and any other vehicles must meet the regulations to be street legal. All vehicles must meet the criteria for belting children in and must have car seats for our younger and smaller students. Additionally, all vehicles must follow the procedure of following the flow of traffic to the parking lot or through the car loop cycle. These rules are in place to make sure that all students stay safe.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping all students safe during pickup and on their way home.
